The different types of restaurant manager jobs
Here are a few questions for you to think about that might help you to decide what sort of restaurant you want to look in:Â
-What location do you want to work in? Think about the type of setting and environment that appeals to you. For example, do you want to work in a restaurant in the city or the countryside? Some people might be more interested in working in a fast paced job in London whereas others might enjoy working in a country pub.
-What experience do you have? What entry level are you looking for? This will help you to decide which jobs you are eligible to apply for. This will save you time and make your job search a lot more focused and targeted.
-Do you want to work in a restaurant that sells a certain type of food? For example do you want to work in a restaurant that sells Italian, Spanish, Mexican, French, English or Indian food? If you have a specific knowledge of a type of food or country then you could have a big advantage over other candidates wishing to work in that area of the food industry.
-Do you want to manage the kitchen, the restaurant or both? You need to think about how much responsibility you want to take on and how confident you are at managing a large group of people.
